Recently, Midea Group officially joined the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) of UN Women and became one of the global signatory corporate members of the organization. This move marks another important step forward for Midea Group in promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.
WEPs are a joint initiative of UN Women and the Global Coalition for Women to promote women's equal participation in business leadership and economic activities, and to promote gender equality and women's empowerment. The WEPs include seven principles that cover the promotion of women's leadership, equal pay, career development, working conditions, corporate culture, community engagement and gender-sensitive business operations.
