From June 1st to 3rd, the five major business units of Midea Group, including China Region, Household Air Conditioning, Building Technology, Hekang New Energy and Ande Zhilian, jointly participated in the "2023 Industrial Green Development Achievement Exhibition" hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Guangdong Provincial Government and Guangzhou Municipal Government at the Canton Fair Complex, showing the layout and phased achievements of Midea's full-process green industrial chain in an all-round way.
With the theme of "Accelerating the Green and Low-Carbon Transformation of Industry and Promoting High-quality Economic Development", nearly 200 institutions participated in the exhibition, including nearly 20 Fortune 500 companies, including Midea. The theme of Midea's participation in this exhibition is "Smart Manufacturing Beauty for a Green Future", which is the first large-scale exhibition with the theme of green development since the release of the "Green Strategy" in 2021, and has received extensive attention and praise from government leaders, industry institutions and media.
Green design: Green intelligent human sensing technology to build a better life
As a firm practitioner of green and low-carbon, in October 2021, Midea released its "Green Strategy", proposing to build a whole-process green industrial chain around the six pillars of "green design, green procurement, green manufacturing, green logistics, green recycling, and green services", vigorously develop a circular economy, strengthen green supply support, and promote itself to accelerate the realization of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
For a long time, Midea has focused on green development and forward-looking exploration, integrated green concepts into all aspects of products and manufacturing, continued to provide leading green products for the society, and led the industry ecology to green development. Among them, Midea Group launched the "Green Power Action" in China, continued to help the circular economy with green power action, went further on the basis of products and technologies, paid more attention to user experience, and led the industry into a new era of "human sensing technology".
At the scene of the exhibition area, Midea displayed a variety of Midea green smart home appliances with human sense technology around the theme of "Smart Manufacturing of Beauty and Green Future", such as fresh and clean air machine, microcrystalline taste fresh-keeping refrigerator, comfortable skin sense vitality washing and drying set, etc., to build a healthy and beautiful life for users from air, diet, washing and care.
Based on green technology and green products, Midea actively cooperates with standard committees at all levels to lead the formulation and revision of green standards. In 2022, Midea led and participated in the formulation of 110 green standards for various countries and industries, covering carbon emissions, ESG, green product evaluation, etc. At the same time, on the basis of referring to relevant national and industry standards, Midea has formulated 16 categories of green product enterprise standards to drive the green transformation of the industry with standards.
Green logistics The low-carbon supply chain promotes the green transformation of the manufacturing industry
As one of the core members of Midea Group's industrial digitalization sector, Ander Zhilian focused on the achievements and solutions related to "Carbon Emission Reduction Practice of Lighthouse Factory" and "Integration of Transportation and Packaging" with the theme of "Low-carbon Supply Chain Solutions".
In the carbon reduction practice of Midea's lighthouse factory, Ander has transformed Midea's decades of lean manufacturing experience into "lighthouse factory supply chain solutions and green logistics models", and has made systematic socialized output from the overall framework and implementation system, combined with industry characteristics. At present, in addition to serving Midea's 5 lighthouse factories, Ander also serves more than 800 manufacturing enterprises, promoting the green transformation of the manufacturing industry with digital supply chain.
With the standardization, recycling, and digital intelligent design and application of logistics packaging units as the entry point, ANCAN organically combines parts transportation and recycling packaging, and outputs an integrated transportation and packaging model that serves the production logistics of the manufacturing industry. After the implementation of the integrated mode of transportation and packaging, the manufacturing industry can greatly improve the transportation and loading rate of parts, reduce energy consumption, meet the needs of factory automation production, and realize the internal circulation of the green packaging ecosystem.
Green manufacturing, efficient equipment + digital platform to create a low-carbon park
In recent years, Midea has been committed to becoming a contributor and leader in the development of green industry, building green factories through five directions: low-carbon energy, harmless raw materials, clean production, waste recycling, and intensive land use. By the end of 2022, Midea had 14 national green factories and 35 factories had obtained energy management system certification.
At this exhibition, as an explorer and practitioner of smart industry, through the green and low-carbon development practice results of the "Jingzhou Factory IOC Platform", it is confirmed that Midea Building Technology is helping the green and low-carbon transformation of industry through the power of green and smart technology.
Jingzhou factory is the largest R&D and production base of Midea Building Technology in China, mainly used for the production of Midea's multi-online air conditioning equipment, using digital twin technology, smart energy management and carbon management products to build an intelligent modern green and low-carbon factory. Based on the iBUILDING building digital platform, the factory's intelligent operation management center (IOC) builds a unified big data platform, which can improve the response speed of equipment operation and maintenance by more than 30%, improve the efficiency of logistics management by more than 15%, and also carry out digital and refined management of energy, so as to help the park formulate and follow accurate carbon management strategies and build a green and low-carbon park.
Green Services Integrated energy solutions help the green transformation of industry
Midea has a "certificate wall" in the exhibition area, including 21 national and international certificates, such as the Science and Technology Progress Award of the Light Industry Federation, green product certification, energy saving certification, especially in March this year, Midea won the 7th China Industry Award. As a leading enterprise, Midea synergizes green and low-carbon transformation with internal business development to help China's industrial transformation and upgrading and green development.
Midea Building Technology's integrated energy solution for low-carbon parks is based on high-efficiency equipment such as magnetic levitation ice storage centrifuges, magnetic levitation air compressors, and variable frequency screw high-temperature heat pumps that can realize AC and DC flexible power supply, and operates in a network with large power grids, distributed photovoltaic and energy storage systems, providing high-temperature process hot water, air conditioning cold water, power gas and other energy service systems to a certain area. Midea's high-efficiency equipment can achieve terminal energy saving of 20%-50%.
Hekang New Energy, a subsidiary of Midea Industrial Technology, demonstrated the "business + household" flexible energy management solution for optical heat storage. The solution takes household energy storage products as the core, integrates photovoltaics, home appliances and heat pumps, and provides households and small industrial and commercial users with self-controlled, efficient and reliable power consumption solutions from design to use, creating a more optimized, environmentally friendly and low-carbon energy experience.
At the design level, Hekang carries out customized design for the rooftop photovoltaic laying of each home, and maximizes the use of the roof area for photovoltaic power generation. Make each rooftop an independent and safe green power station. At the application level, the Hekang solution hands over the decision-making power of electricity consumption mode to the user, and the user can choose different power consumption modes independently, such as giving priority to self-consumption, emergency backup power supply, and electricity economy strategy.
