Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory is the first dishwasher factory in North Africa and the Middle East to use modern advanced production technology. The plant covers an area of 60,000 square meters, with a total investment of more than 25 million US dollars, and a planned maximum annual production capacity of 1.5 million units. In addition to supplying the local market in Egypt, 80% of the production capacity will be exported to Africa, the Middle East, Europe and other regions.

Madbouli listened to the introduction of the operation of the factory by Chen Weiwei, the head of Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory. It is reported that Midea currently has five lighthouse factories around the world, and Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory is built according to the standards of Midea's lighthouse factory, realizing the automation of the production process and the transparent visualization of the whole value chain operation.

In the future, Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory will continue to increase investment, further promote the localization of R&D, manufacturing and talents, and focus on the local user market to provide Egyptian and global users with a richer choice of household products. It is reported that in addition to the Sulz Canal Economic Development Zone, Midea also has another supporting factory in October 6th City, Egypt, which produces water heaters with a localization rate of up to 60%.

Chen Weiwei said that Midea Group is a globally operating company, with business covering more than 200 countries and regions around the world, with about 30,000 overseas employees, ranking 245th on the 2022 Fortune Global 500 list. At present, Midea's annual global shipments of dishwashers have reached 6 million units, of which exports to Europe and the United States account for about 70%.

Madbouli fully affirmed Midea's Egyptian dishwasher factory for promoting the localization of modern industries and helping the local economy and employment, and expressed his hope that Midea's Egyptian intelligent manufacturing factory is developing better and better.
