Key AI energy-saving technologies: reduce carbon emissions by 14.3 million tons

Based on the self-learning of user behavior, the AI energy-saving key technology of household electric water heater can achieve accurate and constant temperature of bathing water, saving 40% of electricity, and a single electric water heater can save 478.15 kW·h of electricity per year. Based on the calculation of the number of electric water heaters of 30 million, the electric water heaters using on-demand intelligent control technology save 5.73 million tons of crude oil and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 14.3 million tons for the country every year.

Environmentally-friendly refrigerant technology: reduce carbon emissions by 967,500 tons

In the past decade, Midea Air Conditioning has worked with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on the project "Leading the Residential Air Conditioning Industry to a Greener Path", which aims to replace the environmentally harmful refrigerant HCFC-22 with low-carbon propane (R-290). According to data from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, Midea's environmentally friendly refrigerant product project has gradually replaced 13.2 tons of ozone consumption, while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 967,500 tons per year.

Green technology for air conditioning: reduce carbon emissions by 414,700 tons

With an annual output of about 2.85 million sets of high-efficiency green energy-saving air conditioners developed by the high-efficiency design of compressors, double-effect heat exchanger systems, efficiency improvement technology of air-conditioning air duct systems, and high-performance compressor drive systems, the energy efficiency of newly developed air-conditioners has been greatly improved, which can save about 416 million kWh of electricity per year, which is equivalent to saving 166,400 tons of standard coal every year, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 414,700 tons and sulfur dioxide by 12,400 tons, which greatly protects the human living environment.

New standard high-efficiency compressor project: reduce carbon emissions by about 7.98 million tons

The project has developed high-efficiency compressors and their key technologies, according to the current number of air conditioners in China of 450 million units to estimate, if 30% of the air conditioners use this technology, it will reduce carbon emissions by about 7.98 million tons a year.

Weiqing Lighthouse Factory Project: Reducing carbon emissions by 9187.2 tons

Midea's microwave oven Shunde plant is one of the world's largest microwave oven production bases, with an annual production capacity of more than 44 million units. According to the World Economic Forum, the factory has implemented digitalization in procurement, production, quality inspection, logistics, sales and other links, shortening the order lead time by 56% and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 9,187.2 tons year-on-year in 2020.

FEMS system: reduce carbon emissions by 11,519 tons

Through the Internet of Things, the energy, water and electricity data collection of the company's factory is carried out, and through analysis, abnormal monitoring, energy quality control, energy consumption planning, early warning, etc., combined with technological transformation, it has achieved annual energy saving and consumption reduction of about 4,620 tons of standard coal, reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 11,519 tons, and helped Midea build a green and intelligent factory.

KUKA Energy Data Collection Project: Reduced carbon emissions by 4,354 tons

In 2020, KUKA's largest production site reduced its total water consumption by 10,863 cubic meters and its total CO2 emissions by 4,354 tons, effectively reducing its total energy consumption.
