On January 20, a Shilong China-Europe train loaded with Midea water heaters, dishwashers and other household appliances, a total of 50 containers of goods, "Midea" special train, departed from Guangdong (Shilong) Railway International Logistics Base and will arrive in Volsino, Moscow, Russia 15 days later, shortening the shipping time by two-thirds. It is reported that this is the first export train for local home appliance enterprises since Guangdong opened the China-Europe train. As the platform operator of Shilong's China-Europe Express, China Merchants Group's China Foreign Affairs Operation focuses on the difficulties and pain points of "Made in Guangdong" foreign trade exports, allowing Midea Group's home appliance exports to change from "carpooling" to "special cars", further smoothing foreign trade logistics channels and opening up a new path for the high-quality development of foreign trade exports in local industries.

At present, the new crown epidemic still has a continuous impact on international logistics, containers are stranded in Europe and the United States, the international shipping cycle is blocked, and the China-Europe train has become the only international transportation channel that connects Eurasia stably. In order to ensure the stability of the "Midea" foreign trade supply chain, with the strong support of Guangzhou Railway Group, China Railway Container Company, Customs and other units, Sinotrans South China Co., Ltd. has specially opened a "Midea" customized special train to achieve priority guarantee of shipping space, priority loading and priority transportation.

In view of the location characteristics of the "Midea" production base in Shunde, Foshan, Guangdong Province, and the China-Europe freight train departure yard in Shilong, Sinotrans South China Co., Ltd. gave full play to the advantages of full-scene and full-link resource network and launched the "road-water-rail" intermodal transportation model. The foreign trade export goods of the "Midea" Shunde production base arrived at the Guangdong (Shilong) Railway International Logistics Base by road transportation provided by Sinotrans South China Co., Ltd. and the barge of the "Bay Area Express" (Shilong-Foshan), and then took the China-Europe train from the base to Russia to realize the "road-water-rail" combined transport. Compared with the previous method of road transportation, the goods are transported from the Shunde production base to the Guangdong (Shilong) Railway International Logistics Base by container, and the "road-water-rail" combined transportation mode can save more than 20% of the logistics cost for customers.
