The person in charge of Midea's dishwasher factory told reporters that what is displayed on this big screen is the digital industrial chain they have built by connecting the production, inventory, logistics and other data of 5,000 upstream and downstream suppliers.

Zhou Xiaoling, information technology director of Midea Group, told reporters: "(Midea) will order, schedule production to material procurement, production and final shipment and delivery to customers, the entire value chain has been opened, and at the same time, these data can be collected on the cloud and platform, forming a cloud digital industrial chain." ”

In Midea's factory, the reporter felt the changes brought about by the digital industry chain. The person in charge of the factory told reporters that hundreds of parts and components had to be sent to the factory, and all of them were complete before they could be produced, and the raw materials needed to be stored for at least 5 to 6 days. Now, after digitalization, it is possible to grasp the production and inventory status of each supplier in real time, and the allocation of raw materials can be carried out in the cloud, which greatly improves efficiency and reduces inventory.

In today's raw material unloading area, each truck is delivered through cloud instructions and according to the production progress, and the delivery and unloading time is accurate to within 1 hour.

Wu Shoubao, general manager of Midea Washing Appliance Manufacturing Co., Ltd., said that they have "shortened the entire chain to the limit, and the entire efficiency has been greatly improved".

Wu Shoubao told reporters that with the flow of inventory, their original two warehouses of raw materials have been changed into production lines, and only through the digital industrial chain to build, their overall efficiency has increased by 15%, and the production capacity has been expanded by 1 time.

As Midea continues to promote digital upgrading and transformation of factories, accelerate the upgrading of traditional industries, stabilize and upgrade the industrial chain, and will lead more upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to achieve digital upgrading and jointly accelerate the digitalization of the industry.
